Everything I experience now I accept whether it’s pleasant or unpleasant. When the latter occurs, I look at the mental stories that I’ve told myself and change what I mentally invest in.
I’m not suggesting that I can control everything that occurs in my life but, I can control the energy I expend on unpleasant thoughts. It isn’t easy when my mind is engulfed by addictive rubbish mental stories but, when I become aware, I stop thinking and focus on my breathe.
